Broccoli and carrot salad: How to prepare it

Step 1

Peel the carrots, then dice or slice them into bite-size pieces. Wash the broccoli and chop it into small florets. You can also chop some coriander leaves for garnish.

Heat water in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat to cook broccoli and carrots.

Add the broccoli florets to the boiling water and cook them for 2 minutes. Add the carrots to the boiling water and simmer them for one minute.

In the meantime, heat some oil in a pan to make salad dressing. Add the mustard seeds to the hot oil and fry them for 20-30 seconds. Add cumin powder and garam masala to the pan.
